Counsellor (19-LIBR166-0190-2) at University for the Creative Arts
We are looking for applicants who be willing to work at both our Rochester and Canterbury campuses, primarily during term time. Initially, applicants would be expected to work 12 hours over two days at Rochester (Monday and Tuesday) and 3 hours at Canterbury (Wednesday).
You will provide professional counselling and wellbeing services to the students of the University as part of an integrated Library & Student Services. The work will normally be one-to-one and face-to-face, but the provision of group work may be required. The post holder will hold specific responsibility for offering online counselling to students, and thus should have experience in this area.
You will also advise students on obtaining help and support to enable them to succeed on course as well as refer students appropriately on to other services inside or outside the University when necessary.
Applicants will need to hold a recognised qualification in counselling or psychotherapy, be currently accredited with a relevant professional body (e.g. BACP, UKCP, BPS), or awaiting accreditation with significant post qualification experience, and have experience of delivering counselling in an institutional setting.
The pro rata salary for this post is £13,079 - £15,152 per annum, inclusive of holiday entitlement.
