Higher Education Outreach Network Partner Officer (091619) at University of Surrey
An opportunity has arisen for a full-time fixed term maternity cover appointment in the HEON (Higher Education Outreach Network) team within the Chief Student Officer’s Directorate.
HEON is a partnership working across Surrey and North East Hampshire as part of the National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP). HEON delivers collaborative outreach to students from Years 9 -13 within certain wards who have low progression rates into Higher Education, providing them with impartial information, advice and guidance.
The post holder will be responsible for designing and delivering aspiration and attainment raising activity for students in Year 9 to Year 13 who are from underrepresented groups in higher education. He/she will work under the overall direction of the HEON Manager and will be expected to work collaboratively with the rest of the HEON central team, other HEON partner officers, and the University of Surrey Outreach team in order to meet the aims and objectives of the HEON project.
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills and will be able to demonstrate a strong ability to plan and deliver events and communicate with, and obtain buy in from, a variety of different audiences. Previous event management experience is desirable.
