Saturday ICT Adviser (19-LIBR401-0552-1) at University for the Creative Arts

Library and Student Services wishes to recruit an enthusiastic and energetic ICT Adviser to provide front-line technical and application support to the University Library users, as well as supporting resources, facilities, equipment and technology available in the library.

You should be educated to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent and possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and including an ability to communicate directly with non-technical users.  You will need to be a competent and confident IT user with experience of IT systems and applications such as Windows, Mac OS, MS Office and the internet.  Knowledge or experience of using creative art and design software such as Adobe Creative Suite is desirable.

Experience of working in a customer-orientated environment is essential.   Previous experience of providing student ICT support in academic environment would be an advantage but not essential, as training will be given.  

Equally important are the abilities to work as part of a team, to use your initiative and ability to work systematically, follow procedures, and take care in maintaining records and pay attention to detail.  You should be prepared to learn new skills, especially in the area of new technology.  A First Aid qualification (or the willingness to be trained as a First Aider) would be desirable.

The pro rata salary for this position will be £2,463 - £2,770 per annum.
