Sport Development Assistant (Community) (041919) at University of Surrey


An opportunity has arisen within the Sport Delivery department for a self-motivated, pro-active and highly organised individual to join our team.

The Sport Development Assistant will be supporting the Sports Development Officer in developing and delivering a number of sport themed initiatives with the aim to get more people taking part in sport through participation, volunteering and coaching. This role will provide high-level support to the Sports Participation Team across a range of administrative activities, to ensure the smooth running and professionalism of the various community sports programmes including the Learn to Swim programme.

The successful candidate will have excellent organising and prioritising skills and experience of working independently and dealing with unforeseen circumstances and problems.

This role requires work during unsocial hours, including early mornings, late evening and at weekends.
