Visa Compliance Manager (095918) at University of Surrey
We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail orientated individual to join the busy Visa Compliance team in Student Services and Administration.
The Visa Compliance Manager is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure that the University fulfils its Tier 4 (General) sponsor obligations under the Home Office Point Based Immigration system. The post holder will be required to develop relationships and communicate effectively with staff and students across the University in person, over the phone, and via email.
You will be responsible for responding to Home Office policy change and implementation of related internal policies. You will also be responsible for the process and procedure related to other non-Tier 4 visas for example Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur, Short Term Student, etc. Knowledge of Home Office rules and guidance relating immigration for students is essential.
The post holder must have good organisational skills and the ability to handle difficult and complex situations sensitively. Excellent IT skills are required, as is a familiarity with databases and an understanding of the importance of data quality.
